DOG ON THE BLOG?

Anyone lost a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? This morning my son, Zak declared he would like a pet and so asked if he could buy a fish and call it Herbert. Fine by me, they make little mess and only live for a couple of years and then you can flush them down the toilet! So I was a little surprised around 2pm this afternoon to get a phone call to announce that they had found a stray dog and brought it home - hmmm...

When I got home, I made out that I wasn't impressed (although it is very cute and placid) and took the dog for a walk around the local area knocking on doors trying to find the owner. Unfortunately I couldn't find the owner much to the delight of my children. Levi was pleased as he had prayed that I wouldn't be successful!

My friend Mike who is a local vet popped round and checked the dog out for a microchip, but no luck - so we have an extra visitor in the Dendy house tonight.

Oh well, tomorrow the DOGPOUND!!!!!

NO! Not a dog!!!

You could always eat it...a common practice in the Hill Tribes here in Thailand. Bangkok solved their stray dog problem by selling them to the Laos people...

Sadly (well for Lottie and the Kids anyway!), the dog which we discovered is called Lucy was returned to her rightful owner. Apparently it is a King Charles Cavalier Blenheim and very valuable - should have sold it on Ebay!
